Betty Cromley Sylvester of West Grove

Betty Cromley Sylvester, 83, of West Grove, formerly of Woodstown, N.J., died at her residence on Monday, July 23. She shared 23 years of marriage with the late Dr. Loring E. Sylvester.

Born in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Marion Fahringer Cromley.

She was a registered nurse working at the Snelbaker Home, Woodstown, N.J., retiring in 1998.

Betty was a member of the West Grove Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed traveling, reading, politics and being with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Lisa Snyder and her husband Andy of West Grove, Kathy Patterson and her husband Michael of Christiana, and Carol Thielman and her husband Peter of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Willard Cromley and Carl Cromley, both of Danville, and Lee Cromley of Stone Mountain, Ga., and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one sister, Frances Stephens

A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Danville.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Crazy Horse Memorial, 12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730-8900
